In FPPA’s ongoing effort to streamline the retirement process for our Members, we are pleased to announce the launch of our online retirement application. Members approaching their desired retirement date can now complete their paperwork in the Member Account Portal.
Features of the new tool include:
- Fully Digital Process: Members can now complete their retirement application entirely online, reducing the need for paper forms. This process is also available 24/7, reducing time constraints
- User-Friendly Interface: The Member Account Portal has been updated with an intuitive design that guides users through each step of the application process
- Secure Document Upload: Members can securely upload necessary documents directly through the portal
- Real-Time Application Tracking: Users can track the status of their application in real-time, providing transparency and keeping members informed throughout the application process
- Automated Notifications: The system sends automated updates via the MAP Message center and the Member’s email to keep them informed about the application process
This new feature is not meant to replace interaction between FPPA and our Members. In fact, Members should still reach out to our benefit administration staff prior to retirement to run benefit projections and explore their payment options. Likewise, this new feature will not immediately replace the paper version of the application; this is just a new method for Members to apply, if they prefer to complete the process online.
